Gangtok/ New Delhi: Board of Open Schooling & Skill Education (BOSSE)has achieved another feat. On 5 January 2023, the Council of Board of School Education (COBSE) gave membership to BOSSE. The Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE)is a consortium of all Boards of School Education in India, coordinates with different boards, education ministries of different states, the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, and different State Govt. to promote and propagate school education upholding the true spirit of ‘right to education’ Government of India.
Since its inception, BOSSE is doing sublime work in the sphere of open schooling education through constructive and interdisciplinary pedagogy and in addition, also offers vocational programs. Significantly, BOSSE is at a nascent stage but the way the board is progressing shows its momentous vision in the sphere of open schooling education.
Notable thing is that in two years of inception, BOSSE received felicitation messages and good will from eminent dignitaries of the country like the Vice President of India and Governor of different states. In addition, the board also received recognition from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and Indian Nursing Council (INC).
The President of BOSSE, Dr. Kuldeep Agarwal, expressed his pleasure and pride on this achievement and shed light on the objective of BOSSE. He said, “the objective of BOSSE is to uplift and strengthen open schooling education through holistic, innovative and constructive education that not only can pave the way of higher education but also can work as a bridge between academic and vocational education.
